Q.

#asktheexperts As my baby is growing, I want her to learn writing now. She sometimes uses her right hand but most of the times she uses left hand. I am confused which hand I should ask her to use.

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Let the baby choose herself and as she grows up she will use the correct hand for herself. Generally toddlers get grip around 3-4 years as baby is 3 years she will learn . Instead making her write directly ,make her to learn holding pencil with good grip, you can make it with engaging her into activities like writing in sand, flour, grains ,picking grains, pulses you must assist her while doing activities. Other easy method is to give a book or rough notes or drawing book to scribble with crayons/pencil ,colouring is the interesting and easy activity for toddlers and then teach her patterns fpr easiest understanding and writing. Soon within weeks she will get grip and write well. Thanks and take care
