Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl3 years agoA. that's so ok. It is absolutely normal for the baby to not pass motion daily even for up to one week if the baby is on breastfeeding and it's not unhealthy. Check for pee counts 6-8/day is fine . if it is above one week or baby s in trouble then you can apply glycerine suppository for easy motion of the baby . no syrup for medicine is given orally till 2 years of age for constipation by yourself as it's not safe .

Try doing the cycling type of exercise. Make your baby lay flat on the back and lift the legs and move them like you are pedalling a cycle. Do this regularly 3-4 times in a day.
Massage your baby's tummy clockwise and anticlockwise directions on the stomach a few times during the day.
Fold your baby's legs at the knees and press them towards the stomach a few times in the day.
You eat nice fibre rich food and breastfeed your baby well.Eat lots of green leafy vegetables. Eat pear fruit.
Once your baby has completed 6 months of age then you can soak a few raisins in the water in the night. In the morning just give a few teaspoons of the raisin water to the baby.this helps relieve constipation.
Since your baby is small you drink this raisins soaked water and feed the baby.
