Q.

#asktheexpertHello Doctor I am a mother of 1 year old boy. My son from last 2-3 months has started been around me for 24 hours. He only eats with me, sleeps with me.. & when I am not around... Then sometimes he cries & sometimes not. But even if I am crossing in the house from 1 room to another, then also he needs me & starts crying. either he sleeps at night or cries to be in my lap. is this really normal? I am a working mother who goes to office twice or thrice in a week

A. Hello mom thats abosutely normal behaviour of a toddler as since birth the baby is most close to the mother hence this situation,. gradually they would settle down, try the days that you are not around him and once home you give him undivided attention.

A. See as the child grows they need more of their mother because they are completely dependent on the mother and that’s a completely normal behaviour for a child to be because they only look up to their mothers so try to engage your child to certain activities and if there is anybody around apart from you try to involve your child with that person also to spend some time in you are not at all you have to start breaking this habit little bit and also could be a possibility that your child is its teeth and that is why the child could be behaving a very clingy
