Q.

#AskTheExpert yesterday while playing my son (21months old) had taken ear bud in his hand and trying to put it in his ear, suddenly I saw and take it out from his hand while doing that he got ear injury..he cried for 2-4mins and then he was playing normally but whenever he remembers he was touching to his ear..later at night we saw some liquid type thing in his ear and thought it might be normal then now in morning we can see some blood type thing in his ear..now I got so scared..as per my info ear but hadn't gone too much inside the ear..does he have major injury? do we need to see a doctor? or will it be recovered automatically? attaching photo as well.

A. You need to consult an ENT specialist and they will do an internal ear examination. We need to know if the trauma is outside in the external year or the ear drum got puncturedWrite Your Answer Here
