SandhyaMom of a 8 yr 8 m old girl3 years agoA. Hi, firstly make sure there is a gap of two hours between every feed. And feed 10 minutes on the left breast and 10 minutes on the right breast. And give a gap of few seconds and then take Baby gently onto the shoulders and rub on baby back until baby takes one or two burps. While burping baby will spit a small amount of milk which is good. Usually newborn baby will take around 30 to 40 ML or 50 ML of milk once in every two hours. Check the urine count baby should pass urine 6 to 8 times in a day or more than that but it should not go less than six times.
