A. hiccups in children occur due to gas which is present in the stomach. during the feeding process child taxkes air along with milk and that air goes inside the stomach which irritates leading to hiccups. you have to odffer feeding as well as do proper burping(for atleast 20 minutes) to decrease this problem and it is a self limiting problem

A. hi it is very common to get it. but to prevent or avoid it , I advise to feed your child on demand don't wait until your child is extremely hungry for feeding. burp your baby in between and after each feeding
