POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 9 yr 2 m old boy1 Year agoA. When your baby turns 6 months old, you can begin introducing simple, soft, and easy-to-digest foods along with continued breast milk or formula. Start with:
Single-grain cereals like rice or moong dal cereal. Mashed fruits – banana, apple (steamed and mashed), pear. Vegetable purees – carrot, pumpkin, sweet potato (boiled and mashed). Rice water or dal water – light and easy for digestion. Suji kheer or ragi porridge – cooked well with water or breast milk.
Introduce one new food at a time, with a 3-day gap, to check for allergies. Keep the texture smooth and feed small amounts once or twice a day. Avoid salt, sugar, honey, and cow’s milk at this stage.
