#asktheexpert when should we start weaning what foods are advisable what not to be given and in how much quantity whaat is baby led weaning

A. Dear parent, you should start weaning after completion of 6 months. You can begin with foods like porridge, kheer, homemade cerelac, fruit purée. Then dal rice with vegetables, khichadi, curd. Later mashed paneer. Add ghee to every meal and squeeze lemon wherever possible. Beginning with 3-4 teaspoons, give top food 2 to 3 times a day and up to half katori every time. Continue to breastfeed.
