Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. proper language / speech development will start between 18 months of age to 2 years of age.
there is no need to worry before that just concentrate on the diet and regular interaction with the child.
also speech and language develops properly with more people available to interact with the child
avoid usage of tv mobile and laptop because they are the most ccommon reasons for delayed speech and language development.
the most important thing is that before speech understanding of the commands given by the parents should be present.
by 18 months if the child is not following basic commands then only you have to meet the doctor

Kids Pick up mostly after the age of 8 to 9 once they start saying some words are easy words that they can talk and slowly gradually as we talk the vocabulary increases and then they can talk more so mostly by the age of 1 1/2 to 2 years kids pick up quite a lot
