#AskTheExpert What is the sleep cycle of 1 1/2 month old baby? Even after feeding properly my son does not sleep for long duration he wakes up hourly. Does it affect the development of the baby?

A. hi dear Newborn babies should breastfeed 8–12 times per day for about the first month. Breast milk is easily digested, so newborns are hungry often. Frequent feedings helps stimulate your milk production during the first few weeks. By the time your baby is 1–2 months old, he or she probably will nurse 7–9 times a day.Total Sleep: 14 to 18 hours a day. During the first months, babies sleep in bits and pieces, waking throughout the day to feed. In the early weeks, you can expect your little one to fuss from hunger 10 to 12 times a day.
