Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. It is very normal that infants and newborns may not pass stool for more than 10 days adlso and sometimes the frequency can be around 6 to 7 times per day also.
Both the above frequency of stool passage is normal if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid.
if the consistency is not hard then it is not constipation and intermittxent crying is due to the colic pain due to gas
POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. If your baby is only being breastfed or chestfed they may not poop every day. This is because their body can use up almost all the components of breast milk for nutrition and there is very little left that needs to be eliminated. After the first 3 to 6 weeks or so, they can go even a whole week without a poop.
