#asktheexpert what is the diet for a healthy growing child? My child is too choosey in vegetables and only eats dal and cereals.

A. for proper growth, serve well balanced diet including all five healthy food groups: vegetables, fruit, grain foods, dairy and protein. Avoid foods high in salt, saturated fat and sugar, foods low in fibre and nutrients, and drinks with caffeine or lots of sugar.
