A. breast milk is always sufficient till completion of six months. mother needs 1000 extra calories per day for healthy milk production. take iron calcium and multivitamins supplements regularly. feed more frequently for more production

A. Thanks ma'am for your reply. I just want to let you know that my baby is hyperactive she used to move her all four limbs often so she tired easily. I kept her only on breastfeeding but since last 2 days I introduced mashed banana to her. she opens her mouth while I fed so I guess that she is hungry. Her weight is also constant since last 1.5 months. My questions are: is it ok to give banana as she has started to a pass dark colored stool how frequently should I feed to her as I realised that she remains hungry most of the time.

A. Hello If your milk is not sufficient for the child and you can switch to formula feeding or top feed whatever you would want to consider it as as that would be a healthier option to start with because semisolid food can only be started after the age of six months not before that
