A. Hi, continue breastfeeding until one year. After one year you can start giving all type of food which you prepare at home but make sure the food is soft and less spicy and less oily. Stopping breastfeeding should be a slow process. By doing this way the flow of milk also will get reduced and the baby will also get used to solid food. When you plan to stop breastfeeding. First plan to reduce the number of feed in the daytime. Introduce a solid food and cut off that time breastfeed like this introduce a liquid like buttermilk, milkshakes, fresh fruit juice made at home and cut off that time breastmilk like this reduce the number of breast milk in the daytime.Once the baby complete sleep stops feeding in the daytime you can concentrate on night time.Write Your Answer Here
