#asktheexpert what are the signs of self weaning from breastfeeding? my lo literally reduced the intake of breastmilk and is not showing much interest as before, is that a sign of self weaning? I wish to feed her until she turns 2 atleast. please help

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. kindly do not worry if the child is taking three or four times breastfeeding everyday then that is totally normal and if you feel you can also offer top milk to the child side by side breast feeding. you can go for milk as well as milk products like curd butter milk paneer which is also beneficial for the body

Nihita mittalMom of 3 children4 years agoA. good morning yes definitely it could be an indication of self weaning in case it is the you don't have to worry your child is well above 1 year old so it is absolutely fine if the child is ready to leave breastfeeding at this stage
