#AskTheExpert What are side effects of Cefixime oral suspension For 3 months old baby My baby is 3 month old He has been given cefixime antibiotics for 7 days for throat infection Is it causes loss of appetite

A. hello dear parent safexim can have Side Effects like Rash for skin allergy but your baby is having loss of appetite may cause of throat infection and the baby is only three months old so don't think loss of appetite as throat infection

A. Hello Antibiotics do come with side effects. But loss of appetite in your baby is due to throat infection. Your baby must be having pain in his throat because of which he is not willing to feed. In a day or two after medication, your baby's throat will get sorted and not pain much, he will start taking feeds then. Till then just give him as much he wants.
