Q.

#AskTheExpert today my baby is six days old but she can't latch the milk n I m so tensed up as can't breastfeed her.... don't want to give her formula milk

A. it will take human up to 15 days and sometimes even one month for the baby to learn to latch properly and meanwhile make sure to check the oral cavity for any tongue tie or lip tie because that might also cause difficulty and check for inverted nipples and also try different positions for feeding

A. If your newborn can't latch on correctly because your nipples don't protrude from your breast, try pumping for a minute or two before you begin breastfeeding. The suction of a breast pump will sometimes draw out and lengthen the nipples enough for your child to latch on.
