Q.

#AskTheExpert there is inadequate mom's milk for my 4 month old. lactare tablets aren't helping too. can I start formula feed? any other diet to be added?

A. babies come for breastfeeding for their comfort too. so try to soothe your child by gently patting or rubbing his back. or roam in room by holding your child in your arm. it is not necessary to give breastfeeds frequently. and yes ,if a baby remains hungry ,you can give formula. no problem.

A. the only problem is he is hungry and keeps crying wen breast milk dries up. so iam looking for alternative

A. hi if a child is having low weight ,has low urine output (Below 7 times in a day) then you can start giving formula. otherwise,I advise to give more and more breastfeeds. because the more your child latches, the more milk is produced. and mam , please make sure your child latches properly because sometimes poor latching can cause low milk supply.
