#asktheexpert the breastfeeding frequency of my baby is uneven. Sometimes she starts crying after an hour of feeding and sometimes it takes 3-4 hours. in night, she sleeps for 8-9 hours without feeding. Is this normal?

A. yes dear this frequency of baby is completely normal baby may feed more frequently during certain times of the day feed on demand if baby is passing urine 6 to 8 times in 24 hours is active alert and gainibg adequate weight then do not worry

It’s completely normal sometimes what happens is when kids are taking feeding and suddenly they go to sleep in between that they stopped taking the feeding and then they get hungry and ask for a feed and sometimes there’s efficiently they can sleep for a longer hour at a stretch it could be day or night and that is also completely normal
