Q.

#asktheexpert the baby was born on 1st of July 2023. However due to delivery in 36 weeks 2 days he was termed as premature , baby was born with a weight of 2.4 kg.He had difficultly in breathing so he was kept in ICU for 12 days.Now he is eating Mother’s milk however he is not gaining weight and still is too small. Do you suggest anything else on how to make the baby stronger.

A. the weight gain of the baby can be slow and absolutely nothing to worry especially if the baby is taking the feed well and slowly the baby will start gaining and nothing to worry and any concern it would be better to check with your doctor and she can guide you accordingly
