POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. Sponging your child with tepid water (85 to 90 degrees F) can help bring her temperature down by one or two degrees. (Don't use cold water — it can trigger shivering and actually make the fever worse.) Fill the tub with an inch or two of water and use a clean washcloth or sponge to spread water over her body.
