#AskTheExpert Sir, my son has been suffering from high fever since day before yesterday. Though we have given him medicine but still fever remains in fluctuation condition. So, kindly recommend good medicine for fast relive sir.

DR SHIWAJIRAO PATILGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 18 months old and he is having a high fever so paracetamol doesn’t work so you should give him proper antibiotic and frequent breast feeding

Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment also this dose can be again repeated after ehtvery 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever
