Q.

#asktheexpert Sir, My baby is 15 days old. She is not getting satisfied with motherfeed and formula milk. I m giving her mother feed for continuous 30-35 min and just after that 45 ml formula milk but stiff she shows through her reflexes that she is hungry.

A. in first six months the minimum weight gain should be 500 mg per month and it can go up to 1 kg per month also. the urine output should be more than 6 to 7 times per day. the child should sleep after takinfg feeding. meet the doctor for weight assessment. if the above criteria is achieved then the child is having adequate milk intake. if the growth of the child is proper there is no need to worry about the csleeping pattern/ feeding as well as the stool frequency of the child

A. In this age that the child is they do not have appetite more than 30 to 40 ML I think you’re already giving too much of milk to the child and if you still feel your child is not full I don’t think so because of hunger it’s due to probably stomach pain if you’re unable to figure it out correctly kindly consult a paediatrician
