#AskTheExpert Sir I found some green jelly type thing in my breastfeeding baby stool. is it something to be worried about

A. Sticky stool most of the time is normal only . high-fat diet, consume by mother can lead to stool that is stickier than normal. excess fat beyond what would normally be absorbed by the body can make stool thicker and stickier.

A. otherwise healthy baby, green poops are usually normal. If you see bright green and frothy or foamy poop in your breastfed baby's diaper, almost like algae, she's probably getting too much low-calorie milk that comes first in a feeding (foremilk) and not enough of the good higher-fat stuff (hindmilk).
