What You Can Do:
✅ Keep the Air Moist – Use a humidifier or place a bowl of warm water in the room to reduce dryness.
✅ Nasal Saline Drops – If there is nasal congestion, use saline drops before bedtime.
✅ Elevate Baby’s Head Slightly – A slight incline can help prevent mucus buildup and reflux.
✅ Give Warm Fluids – If your baby is over 6 months old, offer warm water or homemade soups to soothe the throat.
✅ Gentle Back Patting – Helps loosen mucus and prevent vomiting from excessive coughing.
When to See a Doctor: If the cough lasts more than a week. If there is wheezing, breathing difficulty, or high fever. If vomiting is frequent or baby seems weak.
Nighttime cough is often caused by mucus drainage, and vomiting helps clear it out. However, if the symptoms persist or worsen, consult a pediatrician for the best treatment.
