ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist5 years agoA. A few kids especially about two years of age have the habit of habitual constipation where they wantedly withhold passing stools. Try giving lots and lots of water and high fiber rich foods like apple with rind, ripe banana, grapes, prunes, pear etc. Apart from that you have to make the baby sit on the potty seat for at least 15 minutes morning and in the evening and encourage the baby to pass motion. If still the baby is having constipation then your doctor will give you medications to loosen the stools andWrite Your Answer Here

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children5 years agoA. You have to include fiber rich fruits and vegetables in the child's regular diet. Give plenty of water. You can give a ripe banana and raisins daily. An unripe or under ripe banana can worsen the constipation. So choose the banana carefully. Also avoid bakery products like biscuits, cookies, bread, cake etc.,
