#asktheexpert she has loose motion from past 6-7 days...watery stools 7 to 8 times a day...gave her fizi 50 twice a day..but her stomach is still upset...she is on mother feed only...when she was 3 months old.. then also she had loose motions which continued for almost 1 and half month...gave her z&d drops .... what to do

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Loose motion most of the time is because of some infection which could be viral or bacterial and in such case it is associated with symptoms like fever along with vomiting and loss of appetite .
supportive treatment is very necessary where proper hydration should be maintained by giving ORS along with that probiotjic can be given like enterogerfmina or econorm in a proper dose .
Antibiotics has their role only if it is bacterial infection . for this doctor guidance is necessary .
