Q.

#asktheexpert Ritika,my elder daughter, she has a complaint with leg pains like once or twice a week. Should we get any test for this?

A. Thank you Doctor.She will turn 6 years next week.She complaint even when she don't play excessively. Last time 2 years back she got some relief ointment, but using that ointment longer run not feeling good . Should we go for treatment to check for any deficiency like said D vitamin issue?

A. there are multiple causes of limb pain during this age because it can be normal due to growth pain. it can also occur due to nutritional defizciency mainly vitamin d, vitamin b12 iron and calcium deficiency. if there is excessive playful activity by the child during the daytime it is but obvious that during the night time there mighxt be limb pain. if the limbs are paining without any activity then yes medical examination and treatment will be required
