#AskTheExpert please suggest foods that are good for baby's proper growth in 29 weeks pregnancy with gestational diabetes....besides milk

A. Hello mam, you have to be little mindful when you consume foods especially that can raise or shoot you blood sugar levels . On the other hand you do need calorie for the demand in the stage . You have to firstly avoid refined and processed foods and sugary as well. If in case you are tempered have very small quantity. Have home made foods as much as possible , whole grains and cereals , seasonal fruits and vegetables.. limit with mango , banana , Chikku , custard apple etc . In vegetable have gourds , ladies finger , cauliflower , green leafy etc . Limit in roots and tubers such as potatoes , sweet potatoes etc
