Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 6 yr 1 m old girl3 years agoA. it is the fever. Temperature more then 99 degree is fever. Paracetamol can be given for the fever every 6 to 8 hourly for fever . Fever may be due to any viral infection so mostly will subside in 3 to 5 days . other wise consult a doctor near by.

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 10 m old boy3 years agoA. The system that controls body temperature is not well developed in a newborn. Call your baby's healthcare provider immediately if your baby is younger than 3 months old and has a rectal temperature or forehead (temporal artery) of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher. This is an emergency.
