Q.

#asktheexpert newborn baby (13 days) sleeps around 20 hours a day and has swollen eyes I guess coz of too much sleeping. Is it normal or cause of concern ?

A. it is quite natural that new born babies will be sleeping 18 to 20 hours for a day but the swelling in the eyes may be because of blocked nasolacrimal al duct in the baby

No It is not because of too much of sleeping because you want kids can sleep for even 20 hours at a time as in in gaps they can sleep for 20 to 21 hours also that’s considered completely normal if your child is showing swelling on the eyes then don’t take it easy just consult your paediatrician for a
