#AskTheExpert My two month old daughter has cold since almost 15 days now, she is completely ok during afternoon hours however during morning and night hours her nose seems congested and she becomes cranky,as of now using only saline nasal drops, is there anything that can help her recover?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. nasal saline drops can be given again and again to the child because it is salt water which will help in decreasing the nasal blockage by clearing the mucus
try to prevent temperature variations around the child which is the most common cause of cough and cold in small children.can give indirect steam inhalation .
anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation.
for fever and pain give paracetamol
continuex the regular diet which is being given to the child

continue to put nasal saline drops to unblock nose. Also give indirect steam to ur baby two three times a day and apply babyhug rapid relief roll on or vicks babyrub on the chest and feet sole to get relief from cough and cold
