#AskTheExpert my two and half year old baby girl has been having runny nose and cough for a very long time, she is given flu vaccination three weeks back and she was also given cough syrup and sinarest but still having the problem. what should be done. please advise

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. For cold / running nose give syp wikoryl AF 5 ml to the child 2- 3 times per day. (Helps in decreasing running nose and cold)
Prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly for nasal congestion and block.
Indirect steam help in decreasincg coughing.
paracetamol for fever and pain
Go for home remedies like Tulsi Ginger honey diluted with water combination and turmeric with milk at least 2 times pecr day.
Give water at frequent intervals
This can occur due to either allergy or infection and some times due to climate changes around child.
