#asktheexpert My Twin Kids age 1.5Years, having snuffy running nose. Since nose was blocked they started inhaling from mouth now little coughing as well. I have steam and green capsule rubbed on their clothes also, given Sunlight in day time. what should I do as they now spill out any medicine.

Author of questionFather of 2 children2 years agoA. Thank You Doctor. In Night after 15 min of steam inhalation I gave Otrivin Pediatric so Now they can sleep in night. But in day Saline drops will give them if they Drink Drops in Mouth is also no harm right

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 9 m old boy2 years agoA. give nasal saline drops every few hourly to the child in the nasal cavity. try to prevent temperature variations around the child you can go for indirect steam inhalation which will again help in decreasing both cough and cold continue the regular diet of the child if there is no ixmprovement in few days then meet your doctor for fever and pain give paracetamol. anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be given only after medical consultation.
