#AskTheExpert My son who is 2 years and 7 months old is having constipation issues. He puts stool once in 4 days. We went oto a pediatrician and he gave some. syrups. Now he will put stool. only once we give this syrup. Is it safe to give syrup so often.

ExpertDr. Hemendra GuptaPaediatrician4 years agoA. I would suggest you to decrease the amount of milk in his diet give him adequate amount of water whole grain food fruits and vegetables and avoid the things that are made of wheat flour

Give prune juice or just dried prune to chew upon...also chk if u r using formula milk or cerelac...they generally causes constipation....if u cant give her prune juice than soak some munnaqa without seeds in milk for 2 hrs..boil that milk and on cooling to room temperature give it to ur lo
