#AskTheExpert my son is not sucking properly... he was hypoglaycemic after few days of delivery.. at tat time they introduced formula milk. now he is not sucking my breast.. what should i do?? even tried nipple shield

ExpertDr Priyanka KalraObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. you latch b very frequently ok.See when baby has any new complain then better avoid any self medication. Show to a doctor for right and timely diagnosis and treatment. Thays a safe procedure.

Squeeze your nipple frequently
Give adequate feeding
Burp well after every feeding
Try to keep head up position while feeding
Do tummy time and cycling movement of legs to relieve gas and constipation
Wash hands often before touching your baby
