#asktheexpert My son is having runny nose and cough from past one week despite giving him flucold n Ascoril ls. Kindly suggest some home remedies that we can use to cure his cold .

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by theh doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce tfhe fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Then it mostly could be due to some kind of an infection that your child may be having which is why it is not subsiding for this long time so I think you should go ahead with the further investigation with your doctor to figure out the kind of infection your child may be having right nowWrite Your Answer Here
