Q.
#AskTheExpert my son is having fever 101.6 in the afternoon . I gave him o-100 and it reduced . Now when I touch his body it is not hot but thermometer shows 101.6 . Should I give him another 1 ml of P-100

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children.
But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out .
Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpful .
Doctor consultation should be dhvone if symptoms like fexcessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .
