Humidity: Use a humidifier in the baby's room or let them inhale steam in a bathroom filled with warm water vapor. This can help loosen mucus and ease coughing. 3. Honey: For babies over 1 year old, a teaspoon of honey can help soothe the throat and reduce coughing. Avoid honey for babies under 1 year due to the risk of botulism. 4. Saline Nasal Drops: If the cough is due to nasal congestion, saline drops can help clear the nasal passages, making breathing easier and reducing the cough. 5. Warm Compress: Apply a warm compress to the chest area to help ease the discomfort caused by coughing. 6. Rest: Ensure your baby gets plenty of rest to help their immune system fight off the infection.
