#AskTheExpert My son is already in 12th month but still he has not got teeth till now. Is it ok to be like this? or should I consult doctor? please help me regarding this

A. it is okay to not get teeth by this age but the child's first dental visit is mandatory by the child's first birthday. the maximum you can wait for the first tooth to erupt in 18 months of age

A. The average age is anywhere from 6 months to 12 months, though some babies will get teeth earlier and some will get them later. Timing isn't that important; however, if your baby still has no teeth by the age of 18 months, it may be time to see a pediatric dentist for an evaluation.
