Q.

#AskTheExpert My son is 8 months now... we started weaning when he was around 6 and half months, till then he was exclusively breastfed. Now he eats ragi porridge...apples...banana..kiwi... rice and carrots porridge...dal and rice porridge . all hand mashed. he also takes breath milk in between. Current Wt.- 7.1kgs...Birth weight was 2.8kgs. but even now he wakes up every 3 hours in the night for breast feeding. How long will this be there. Is it normal. Thank you

A. it's normal, It is developmentally normal to wake up at night at least through the first year and often for quite a while longer. Offer a good amount of feed right before you go to bed.
