#asktheexpert My son is 7.5 month old. Is it normal to poop once in 2 days or whether he is constipating?

Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has been hstarted after 6 monuths . you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .

Ankita MehtaMom of a 9 yr 3 m old girl3 years agoA. hi it is normal but if stool consistency is too hard like stone or child is crying while passing stool then it means that your child is having constipation. please keep your child well hydrated as it could be food reaction, please keep an eye on your child diet. give massage to your child regularly I would suggest to use Babyhug coconut oil.
