POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy5 months agoA. For a 5-month-old breastfed baby, bowel movement frequency can vary. Some babies pass stool multiple times a day, while others may go once in a few days—both are normal as long as the baby is comfortable and the stool is soft.
Breastfed babies often have yellow, seedy, or slightly runny stool, but the consistency can change as they grow. Around 5-6 months, as you introduce solids, you may notice changes in stool texture, color, and frequency. If your baby has hard stools, excessive diarrhea, blood in stool, or discomfort, consult a pediatrician. Otherwise, irregular bowel movements in breastfed babies are generally normal.
