Q.

#AskTheExpert my son is 4yrsl old.. his vitamin d levels are low.. it's 15.. I hv given him oral iron solution.. for one month.. weekly.. 5ml bottle.. should I give him daily vitamin d now.. as in for a maintenance.. n if yes then how much.. dosage..

A. fir this good to consult your paediatrician, as it need proper clinical examination. Children with low vitamin D also need enough calcium in their diet. Aim to give them two to three serves of dairy each day . The best way to get your daily dose of vitamin D is by spending time out in the sun.  children should spend time outdoors with areas of their skin uncovered... morning sunlight is good. daily give vit d enrich food like cow milk, orange juice,oatmesl, mushrooms,tofu, orange juice, all dairy products, youghrt, Cheese, egg yolk, soymilk , cereals, fatty fis
