And because he wants to bite everything, we are assuming its teething

Yes it can fever and diarrhoea both the things are very commonly seen with a lot of kids when they’re in the process of having their teeth and passive are not a solution to it it is just a filthy addiction that you’re going to be so pacifies are completely restricted to be given rather you can give Teether to your child that’s better
