#asktheexpert My son is 3 years old. He had fever for last 2 days and we gave him DOLO syrup.Niw he does not have any fever but has developed cough since last evening. Please suggest

Teena RoshMom of 2 children4 years agoA. if the fever has gone down.. nothing to worry because the infection has probably reduced... cough will be there for few days... depending on, if its a wet or dry cough your pediatrician will give you medications... but I would suggest if the cough is not very severe.. just give it time.. it will go by itself...

Fever is a response of the body to any kind of infection or any inflammatory process in body so you can give paracetamol in a dose of 15 mg/kg/dose as the first line treatment alsjgo this dose can be again repeated after every 5 to 6 hours if again required and you can also do cold sponging of the body to reduce fever
