#AskTheExpert My son is 3 months old. From when can I start giving solids to him.

A. yes it is ok to give external milk after 6 months of age. but best to breastfeed your child atleast one year age. and if you are introducing cow's milk after 6 months age,offer it in very small quantity and check whether your child is comfortable with it or not.

A. as mother's milk is best food for a child please stick to breastfeeding. offer plenty of feeds because the more your child latches, the more milk is produced you can take leptadin tablet or shatavary granular with warm milk for it make skin to skin Contact while feeding your child it will also help

A. At present I'm giving formula and as well as breast feeding. I so worried that my milk is not sufficient for him completely.Since he is day's boy he used to start crying when the flow of milk got reduced. Also he won't simply suck my breast unless there is full flow of milk. Suggest me what to do

A. hi after completion of 6 months age, you can start to offer semisolid food to your child but till that please stick to breastfeeding don't give anything to eat or drink other than breastmilk and needed medicines till 6 months age
