#AskTheExpert : my son is 3 months old and he passes motion only 3 days or 5 days once. I have to give him lactulose and then after 2 days he passes motion. kindly suggest something so tht he passes motion naturally without medicines. I am breast feeding. very rarely I give him formula milk

A. Hi chronic constipation needs to be evaluated it's better to consult Paediatrician once and take necessary opinion on the same a medical opinion is necessary for appropriate diagnosis and treatment of any condition

A. hello the breastfed babies are rarely constipated and it will have less waste and can even go without passing motion even for a week and it is absolutely nothing to worry and if you think baby is constipated then you can add few drops of prune juice to the breastmilk and give to baby
