#AskTheExpert my son is 21months old… Doctor has checked his tongue that is ok… when will he start speaking

A. DEVELOPMENT by the age of 2 years the child should be able to speak few words with meaning in the sentence and should be able to understand all the commands and orders given by the parents and if you feel that they are not present in your child it is important to meet your pediatrician to assess the growth milestones of the child and whether there is any neeed of therapy or not. If child has good understanding and follows orders and command of the parents properly then do not worry much about speech as will eventually come. Talk more with child. Avoid TV mobile laptop. Involve more people to interact with the child

A. to make them speak follw these everyday Talk more to your baby. Ask a lot of questions to baby and wait to her a response. Encourage baby to give an answer. If baby tries to speak, wait listen and ask questions. Keep talking to baby and answer to all the babbles. Tell your nay everything you do like I'm taking you to park I'm changing your diaper every little thing trybto explain to your baby and baby. Just keep talking and respond to everything your baby babbles or speaks.
