#asktheexpert My son is 12 yr old and has not been vaccinated after the age of 1. which vaccination should be done now?

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedule and you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulse polio immunization programme is provided by the government to koall children below 5 years of age. if your child has received polio vaccine before as per the schedule then also you should givei this vaccine on the the pulse polio day as this is an additional vaccine. For polio vaccine dates and related query you need to contact your local authorities .

A. hello all the IAP recommended vaccination are important to be given for the child as per the age and since you are not given most of them it would be better to contact your doctor and try to get the important one which can be given now at least which would be better
